5/18: I just had my interview with Lefter about an hour ago, and I am really grateful I was able to speak with him. Lefter has so much advice about how to feel fulfilled in your time at UCLA, and a lot of information about the Labor Studies Major. We talked about the moralities behind becoming a lawyer, and what jobs we may want to pursue in the future. Also, Lefter had so many fun questions for me that were so lighthearted! We talked about favorite foods, where we would want to travel, our significant others, and more. I really liked talking with him

5/18: I had my last interview with Ishan, and he was so cool. I didn't realize that we both had backgrounds in competitive piano! I think we could both agree that that lifestyle is really difficult, and being able to simply play the pieces we want to play is most important. I also talked about my distaste towards landlords, and my most recent argument with my current one. Ishan also shed light on the in-person pledge process, and part of me wishes I could have been a part of it. Overall, I had a wonderful time with Ishan!

5/21: I had my interview with Adrian, and it was super nice. I didn't realize him and I actually shared a lot in common, like our connection to classical and jazz music. His mom went to the Boston Conservatory for music, and he grew up around her piano playing. I thought this was simply wonderful, as I also grew up the same way. We had a really nice time talking about music, and other stuff like Super Smash Bros and Chess. I really loved talking to him!

5/22: I had an interview with Josh Moon, and it was great! I didn't realize that I saw him working at Hangry Moon's the other day, but thankfully, he was very kind about it. I thought it was super funny that my absolute favorite food place was where he was able to work, and I am so jealous. He was also so kind! Oftentimes, I get scared of upperclassmen because I know I am too young to know as much as they do. But he was so nice

5/23: I had an interview with Lauren! She was so incredibly kind. I only knew her as my sweet MemEd Director previously, but now, I feel like I have a better feel for her as a person. Lauren is extremely accomplished, and I hope that I can embody her work ethic and drive as I continue throughout UCLA. She also had a super amazing time in Hawaii, and even went on this illegal hike that sounded like such an adventure. She's home now, but I am so jealous! Otherwise, we talked about the pledge process and she reassured me that I would be okay during hell week. That felt good

5/23: I had a joint interview with Loren with Emmy, and it was so fun! Loren is so easy to talk to, and we talked about astrology and relationships. I learned that she is a Sagittarius, which, fun fact, is my absolute favorite sign. We tried interpreting one another's and also tried figuring out why boys do not like astrology so much. It's like they have a deep hatred for it. We also talked a little about whether we think we are introverted or extroverted, which was fun! Overall, talking with Loren was like speaking with a friend.

5/24: I interviewed Ricky, and honestly, had one of my best interviews with him. We had a lot more in common than I could have imagined, beginning with our childhood in piano. I think in Asian households, children experience a pretty uniform experience with the piano world. We are pushed into competitions and practice hours a day against our will, and it's not the most fun at all. I was really glad we were able to vent about that part of our lives. I also realized him and I are both New York Giants fans, which is crazy! I was ready to defend myself for liking such an awful team. We also talked about how I might start going by AJ, since I hate when people mispronounce my name. Overall, I had a wonderful time speaking with Ricky

5/24: I had my last interview (sorry for only 6 ) with Michael Nazar, and had so much fun with him. He is so talkative and fun, so conversation never died down between the two of us! It was nice knowing that him and I both grew up traditionally Jewish, although I was jealous he knew more Jewish kids than I ever had. We talked about how badly we wanted to celebrate Christmas as children, back when we were unaware that Christmas was Not For Us. We also talked about some fun stories we have, like how he went a movie theater and this guy kept trying to sit next to this girl he was dating at the time. By the end, we were watching the Laker's Game together. I had so much fun! He was so kind.

5/25: I LIED! I got some more interviews. I had a brief interview with Ben Woods today while I was out at dinner, and it was really cool! I have never gotten the opportunity to see Ben, so it was really nice to be able to speak with me. We talked about some sports and where I was at for dinner, and he wished me luck for hell week It was nice! I am so sad such cool people will be graduating.

5/25: After my interview with Ben Woods, I had my last interview ~ever~ with Carter Walling. I save the best for last, right! Carter is in my family, so it was nice to know that a fellow Minority Report member had my back throughout this process. He is so fun and energetic to speak with, and I was reminiscing on how safe I felt at his apartment after Mock Trial. Since I was still at dinner, I also spoke to him about the food I was eating and just about favorite foods in general. It was nice! I hope he does well on his LSAT in the future.
