5/6: Interview with Lillan: On Thursday, I had a really nice interview with Lillan. I was honestly just really intrigued to talk to her about her background as an Electrical Engineering major and how she brought that into law. I learned that she wants to do patent law of sorts, so that's super interesting. We also had funny conversations about roommate dynamics, and what our experiences on the Hill were last year. I am really excited to get to know her more, she's so inspiring and so kind.

5/7 Interview with Michael K: My interview with Michael Keily was so fun. It lasted an hour an a half, and I honestly really enjoyed it because we learned how similar the two of us are. He's an INFP/ENFP and I'm an ENFP! So cool. I told him what I love to do in terms of art, and he talked to me about his love for making music, how he plays the guitar, and how he used to be/still is in a band. I learned a lot about his interest in non-profit work, and I explained to him how I want to go into the policy side of law. Super insightful and fun conversation just about our life perspectives, and where we are in life. Excited to get to know him more over time!

5/10: Interview with Ricky: Today, I had an interview with Ricky. I learned that he was from Toronto, so that's super cool. I've always wanted to go to Canada but never had the chance. I also told him how I am from the Bay, and his family is in New Jersey! I asked him what sports he was into, and we also talked about traveling.

5/10 Interview with Anita: Emmy and I had a nice joint interview with Anita today. We talked about how we're doing right now, and Anita is just getting over being sick for like 2 weeks! I'm glad she is feeling better, though. We talked about our classes and how we ended up wanting to do law. We talked about her intrigue in philosophy, and also had funny conversations about roommate situations we've had before.

5/11 Interview with Connie: I had a wonderful joint interview with Nathan, Emmy, and Connie. It was super fun, we even spoke in a British accent and made Emmy judge who was best. I was able to ask Connie about her experience as a Cognitive Science major and her favorite classes so far. I hope to take PIC10A just to get some coding experience. We also talked about embarrassing moments we've had, the type of law we want to go into, and the beaches around NorCal.

5/11 Interview with Caroline: Caroline is my adopted Big! She's truly so sweet, and we talked about what we are going to do when we hang out. I am so excited, we are planning to have a little Janss picnic on Sunday. As well as this, she told me that she just finished doing her midterm, and she's a queen so I know she did well.

5/11 Interview with Jen: Jen is so sweet! It was really nice to talk to her because she is Emmy's big. She's a cognitive science and political science major, and I am psychology and public affairs, so we were able to talk about the intersectionality between our majors. I also asked her all about the differences between living in Korea and in LA. It was really nice talking to her and I really admire her passionate and welcoming personality, even when she is under the weather.

5/11 Interview with Alejandro: My interview with Alejandro was really wonderful, and he was super kind and supportive about my stress within the pledge process. I'm lucky that all the actives are truly so supportive of all of us. I learned about some of the stuff he is studying in terms of street vendors and talked to him a lot about the pledge process. Furthermore, we talked about our similar interests in public affairs and our favorite classes in the program here at UCLA.

5/11 Interview with Mihir: Mihir was really kind and supportive during our interview today. Alexis had told me a few fun facts about him and we got to talk about both of our interests in shoes and sneakers. I've become kind of obsessed lately, so it was fun to talk about. We also talked about the TV shows we are into right now and all about his transition from Texas to LA and the cultural differences between the two.

5/12 Interview with Aman: I just finished a really fun interview with Aman. We were able to laugh and talk about the pledge process, and it was really fun gaining some insight into the process from someone who did pledging in person. We also talked about life on campus, and how excited we are for things to be back in person, both for the Fraternity and for school. As well as this, we talked about midterms and the classes we are taking and just how burnt out Zoom can make us.

5/13 Interview with Jessica: My interview with Jess went really well, and I appreciated getting to know her outside of Membership Education. We talked about how the pledge process is going, how she sees our pledge class, and just what we want to do in the future. I am really appreciative of all the support both Jess and Lauren provide us.

5/17 Interview w/ Adrian: I had a really wonderful interview with Adrian earlier today, and we ended up having some really interesting conversations about philosophy and religion. We also had ended up talking about history, and I really appreciated his perspectives on a myriad of topics, as he always brought in really good historical and funny examples. I also found out he has a lot of close friends who are Muslim, so we talked about culture and religion and food and Ramadan. I learned he is half Puerto Rican, too! We ended up talking about Bollywood movies too, because he apparently really likes them.

5/15 Interview with Julia: Emmy and I had a really wonderful joint interview with Julia, and we both were really interested in her opportunities she's had working for CSC as a project liaison. Both Emmy and I don't really know much about USAC, so it was nice getting an inside scoop. I also love Julia's style and fashion so that was so much fun to share our interests. We ended the conversation talking about or individual passions in law and policy, and I learned that Julia wants to go into entertainment law.

5/18 Interview with Michael Nazar: I really loved my interview with Michael. We were able to talk a lot about where we both came from and our cultural background. I also learned we have similar tattoos! We shared stories about our parents and families, and talked a lot about food as well. We both love Persian food, and I learned he loves Poke! Personally, I don't, but we shared a lot of other interests. I am super excited to get to know Michael more.

5/18 Interview w/ Chanel: Chanel is so so so kind. We had such a lively conversation about how we both love piercings, and we gave each other ear piercing tours which was fun. I also showed her my room and my art. I gave her some recommendations on my favorite public affairs classes, and we got to talk a lot about the department and the political science department. I also learned she is half Persian and half Korean! We talked all about culture and food and how growing up we didn't learn as much of the languages surrounding us as we wanted to. Overall, I really loved getting to know her and I can't wait for future conversation.
