4/26 Michael Nazar I had so much fun talking with Michael. Talking about basketball was definitely the highlight of the whole interview. Most of our opinions aligned to our predictions for the NBA Finals and who will take the championship. I also loved that we both share the same respect and love for the man and idea of Kobe Bryant who was such an icon for me. Our discussion as to why the Nets are the most overrated team right now in the NBA was supreme because we both understood the dynamics of basketball so fluently. It was funny how we both felt about the sports commentary show Undisputed with Shannon Sharpe and Skip Bayless. We both agree that the show is amazing and Shannon Sharpe is an amazing sports commentator. I also really liked our debate of the GOAT of basketball when it comes to Lebron James, Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Michael made one of the best cases I ever heard for Lebron and I genuinely respected everything he had to say about Lebron. Overall I love my interview with Michael and I really hope to watch a game with him if/when I cross.

4/26 Chloe Rosenstock
Everytime I talk with Chloe the conversation is always so interesting. First, Chloe has the best taste when it comes to music. Being that she works for a radio station, I was not shocked that Chloe would bring amazing insight into the world of music but what really impressed me is her taste in rap music as well as the underground artists that she recommended like Paris Texas who is amazing honestly. I really appreciated Chloe talking to me about potentially having my own podcast because I never saw myself as someone with a legitimate voice, so for someone to encourage me to spread my voice was very inspiring to me. Chloe and I agreed on a lot of different social issues going on in the U.S especially with Parents raising their children differently based on sex and not equally where it feels like a leveled playing field for all the children. There is so many discussion that too many households lack and both me and Chloe agree that there has to be a change soon to better raise children in a more honest and fair environment. Overall I really cannot wait for other conversations that me and Chloe have if/when I do cross into the fraternity.

Chanel Nejad
Chanel is one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She always brings a warm energy when I talk to her and that was the same with our interview. I really thought it was really cool that Chanel has access to so much vintage clothes in the palm of her hands. I am all about hand me downs that can be useful so I respect Chanel for thrifting for nice cool vintage stuff. I also talked about my experiences with thrifting but mentioned how LA is the spot I want to go for thrifting just because of the higher potential for good finds. Both me and Chanel’s love for Harry Styles and fish tacos will never be outmatched. I loved talking to her about my mom’s recipe for fish tacos and I do hope that she and other actives will have the chance to try them. Learning that Chanel was vegan I thought was amazing just because I don’t know too many people that are so I really liked getting to know about that.

Ira Phatak
Ira is just amazing in too many ways, especially her taste in music. Her music recommendations are amazing especially the songs Closer and Ambarsariya which are just amazing. She was right that when it comes to music it is not usually about whether you can understand them but if you can feel them and how the music just sounds amazing on its own regardless of the lyrics. I think I will definitely start getting into more bollywood music because of Ira so I thank her so much for giving me so many great recommendations. Spillage Village also took me by surprise with their songs, especially the song Baptize. I loved hearing about Ira’s concert experiences and the artists that we both very much enjoy like Logic who made the most amazing final album. I enjoyed our convo when I was recommending her good tequilas and she recommended some supreme level wines that I should check out. I also really appreciated all the advice that she gave me in terms of being president. She really inspires me a lot to do better so I really hope to make her proud.

Peter Chelebian
Peter's mind is just something I constantly want to pick at to truly understand his perspectives on things. I believe that Peter’s IQ for great movies is very elite and I just wanted to understand so many of his views on certains movies, shows, and videogames. Talking to him about Marvel, I found the conversations amazing to see a point of view that didn’t always align with mine when it comes to how much we enjoy certain projects. That insight really helps me think about my perspective on movies and what I truly want or expect for each one. His love for DC is something I will always respect especially because he respects the material more than anything which I can get behind. I’d probably really want to view some upcoming movies with him to keep picking his brain but until or if I cross, I hope to keep learning more about him and his views on all things pop culture. Me and Peter agree on some things that we didn’t really like but what we both share is just an amazing love for cinema that I will always respect him for.

Anita Ramasastry
Anita is someone I have to really thank for honestly just her existence in the fraternity itself because she really inspired me as a transfer to keep going with Rush and the pledging process. I loved learning about her backstory with the community college she went to and what it took for her to get to where she is at. I definitely see her being an amazing figure in the future. I really cannot wait to see where her ambition takes her and I only wish she remembers me when she makes it to the top. I loved hearing about her experiences as well from an early age and how some of those influenced how she is today. Here artwork is just flawless and I hope to contribute to her work and make sure she gets the recognizes she deserves for being a legitimate artist. For someone to be that sincere with me is something I will always respect and I also enjoyed sharing my experiences not only as a transfer student both at my community college and here at UCLA, but also my childhood experiences as well. Overall, I really hope to talk with her soon and we stay in touch if/when I do cross.

Lefter Coronel
Lefter is honestly the most chillest dude I ever met. I can honestly see myself enjoying a beer with him someday. His knowledge on the stock market is just unpar. Learning a little bit about how stocks are truly a game of both odds and smart predictions was amazing and I really wish I had more time to discuss with him about stocks. His background of also being a transfer student is something that we both really connected to and I really respect him for. I loved hearing about his take on what the economy is going to look like as soon as well as how to avoid scams that lie about teaching you about the stock world. I loved how we talked about our crazy experiences when it comes to going out with your significant other as well as the conversations that many households are lacking with their sons. I loved giving him great recommendations for tequila but his advice and knowledge about the stock market is something I really hope to pick on later if/when I do cross.

Ranhita Bora
I really enjoyed my talk with Ranhita. She has one of the best personalities I have ever met in someone. I enjoyed hearing about her trip to Cabos with her boyfriend which was a vert well deserved trip. Her background in living in more than 5 different countries was also extremely fascinating, especially considering she used to live in Malaysia and Libya. Her dog Scooter was the cutest and bravest chihuahua ever. I really wish I could've pet him but based on how much he barked, he probably would've bit me. The fact that Ranhita is from Houston, Texas really shows where she gets her greatness from. I loved talking about music with her as well as the some of the controversial grammy winners as well. Overall I really hope to met Ranhita in the future, if/when I do cross.

Ricky Fu
I honestly had so much fun talking with Ricky about the movies we both love and the movies we're both excited for. I respect that he is a bigger DC fan than he is a Marvel fan because I do see DC with so much potential and I also wish to see them succeed better with their movies. I love how we both agreed that the upcoming flash movie will either make or break it for the DC Universe. I really did like his analysis of why DC could do better because how he said "Marvel makes humans into Gods while Dc makes Gods into humans". A sentence so simple but so true. I loved that we share a love for movies like Kingsmen, Deadpool, Spiderverse and the Snyder Cut. I can't wait to hear his thoughts about Breaking Bad and Narcos. I really hope he enjoys the shows and gets as shook as me. Overall, I had a lot of fun talking to Ricky.

Adrian Pagan
One of the chillest dudes I have ever met honestly. I loved talking with him about sports especially the Lakers. We both have our concerns for the our team especially Lebron right now but I think generally we both agree that the Lakers could still go back to back champions if they just get Lebron healthier and have AD get better. We both share so many perspectives in basketball with the future looking bright with Luka Doncic and the MVP being Nikola Jokic. I also love that we both really enjoy playing Warzone. We kept discussing our favorite maps, loadouts and game modes, especially search and destroy and gunfight. Overall I hope I one day cross teams with him on Warzone. Maybe we can get some dubs at Verdansk or rebirth.

Jennifer Rhee
I really enjoyed the chill conversation I had with Jennifer. I really did enjoy the empathy we had for our tight and busy schedules to the point we both don't have any time to binge watch any shows. The advice she gave me for how to approach this quarter with pledging and school was very much appreciated and needed. To have such a stressful week and just chill and talk with her was very relieving for me. I feel like I have some of my confidence back. I also liked talking to her about some shows she should consider binging as well during the summer. I like how we both share the same dilemma of being referred to as old in our pledge classes since we were both the oldest in ours. Overall I loved talking to her.

Aneri Parikh
I really loved talking to Aneri. Her personality is so sweet and sincere. Her love for Taco Bell is very very endless which is reasonable because I am also starting to like Taco Bell more and more. Hopefully we can both petition and protest for that Mexican Pizza to return. That Baja blast drink also be hitting different too. I loved learning also about her background in New Jersey. We kept going on and on about our busy schedules, and also on our aspirations for the future. I really do hope to meet her in the future and maybe she could tell me more about her job. Overall I had so much fun talking to Aneri and I hope to talk to her soon.

David Hernandez
David is just simply amazing to talk to. I really loved learning we bot have been to similar places in Mexico, specifically Guanajuato where my dad's family is from. I really appreciated the advice and stories he gave me about his pledging process. It really made me felt understood and not alone in a way. I also liked how we bot ave similar tastes in music with reggaeton and corridos, especially with Junior H. I also enjoyed learning that he was from Northridge considering I almost went to school there. I also loved how we were both trashing Berkeley as a want-to-be Ivy League. We both share very similar struggles with the Spanish language but also with the classes we both take together, specifically Barreto. Overall, I can't wait to hang out with him more.

Akunnia Akubuilo
I feel like every time I speak with Akunnia, the whole vibe is better. I always have the most fun talking with her about everything and anything. Which is why I was super happy to learn she was in my family same as me. I was shocked to learn that she has a twin sister. The thought of 2 different Akunnias shook me but I also thought it was really cool at the same time. I definitely need to pick up on some of the brunch recommendations that she gave me just because I know its hard to find authentic food in LA where too many restaurants are trying to be trendy. I also like how we both enjoy thrifting as well. Thrifting in LA has always been something I wanted to do so I would love to explore LA for some good finds. Overall, I always enjoy talking to Akunnia.
